Like other styles of yoga, this 30 minute Gentle Yoga class relieves stress, increases flexibility, calms the mind, and strengthens the body. In Gentle Yoga the movement is slow, each movement is linked with breath, and postures are entered into gradually—moving in and out of each pose first, and then finding a holding position. This preparation and fluid entry into postures protects and nurtures the joints, muscles, and connective tissue.
Gentle Yoga is particularly good for balancing digestive difficulties because its slow, rhythmic movement soothes and relaxes the central nervous system. If practiced regularly it can help improve sleep patterns and enhance overall physical and mental wellness.
Gentle Yoga is for people who are:
- stiff and tight muscles with limited range
- suffering from auto-immune, fibromyalgia, or other debilitating conditions
- recovering from injuries or surgery
- have joint replacements and need to explore postures slowly and carefully
- anyone starting or restarting a yoga practice
This class is currently scheduled for every Monday and Friday from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm eastern
After purchasing your online class admission, we will email you a link to join the class online. We Zoom Video Conference all of our classes and personal sessions so you will need to download the Zoom app for your phone or ipad, or install the software on your computer. If you have an iphone and an apple TV you can airplay the Zoom conference right to your TV.
If purchasing multiple classes, please type in the 1st class you would like to attend and we will send you a digital class card with instructions on how to redeem the remainder of your purchased online classes.
